Bert Scuri had to be the most likeable math teacher ever to grace a high school, and we were lucky to have him. He managed to be no-nonsense and forgiving at the same time, and led many of us through the perils of trigonometry and advanced math with great skill. He was one of those special teachers who really cared about the success of his students, and he encouraged us by his manner and his methods.
