"Mike unexpectedly passed away in mid-October, 2011. I feel blessed to have had 30
years with Mike and miss him every day. Please share this with any who you feel
would want to know. The kids and I are still struggling with this and any
prayers are greatly appreciated."

Michael Allen White
McMinnville, Oregon
Michael "Mike" White of McMinnville, OR, age 60, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at his home. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Macy & Son (McMinnville). Michael Allen White was born February 22, 1951 in Coquille, OR to Thomas and Dorothy Mattson White. The family moved to Santa Rosa, CA where Mike spent most of his childhood and went to school. He graduated in 1970 from Piner High School and in 1974 from the University of California, Davis. Mike became an Oregon State Police trooper on October 1, 1974 and retired January 31, 2003. During his career he was stationed in Eugene, McMinnville, Portland, and Salem. He was a loving husband and father and dedicated to his wife and children. He enjoyed playing the game of golf (with the thought that with just one more game he could attain the perfect swing), and spending time with his family and friends. Mike is survived by his wife Kay and daughter Jennifer, McMinnville OR; son David, Eureka, CA; brother Chris White, Loleta, CA; sister Donna Gunnell, Salt Lake City, UT; and faithful dog Joey. In lieu of flowers, contribution can be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Macy & Son.

I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. I used to watch Mike as a child during the 1969-70 basketball season at Piner and that team very much inspired my interest in basketball (I later played for Piner from 1976-1978). My prayers are with you Kay and your family...
